1. Acceptance of These Terms

By creating an account or using Simplicents, you agree to these Terms of Use, to the privacy practices described below, and to the subscription agreement set out in section 3. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not create an account or use the service.

2. Privacy and Your Data

What we collect

• Account details such as your name, email address and login credentials.
• The financial information you enter, including payees, bills, income and purchases.
• Basic technical information needed to operate, secure and support the service.

How we use it

• To provide and maintain your budget records and account access.
• To process subscription payments through our payment provider, Stripe.
• To send service messages such as verification codes, receipts and important account notices.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not use the contents of your budget records for advertising.

Payment data

Card details are handled directly by Stripe. We never store your full card number.

Your choices

You may ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to close your account, at any time through the support messages in the app.

3. Subscription, Billing and Renewal

• Simplicents is offered with a free trial. When the trial ends, continued access requires an active paid subscription.
• Subscriptions are billed yearly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled.
• You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Prices are shown before you purchase, and may change for future renewal periods with advance notice.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Refunds are handled in line with applicable law and the terms shown at the time of purchase.
• If a renewal payment fails, access may be suspended until payment is completed.

4. Your Responsibilities

• Keep your login credentials confidential and use a unique password.
• Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Use Simplicents only for lawful, personal budgeting purposes.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer or gain unauthorized access to the service.

5. Account Termination

• You may close your account at any time from your profile.
• We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached, if payment is not completed, or where the law requires it.
• When an account is closed, its records may be deleted after a short retention period kept for legal and accounting obligations.

6. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with its version number and date. Continuing to use Simplicents after an update means you accept the revised terms.
